Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance
- Richard founded the Athenian Ensemble to accompany the Old Royal Naval College Chapel Choir in worship and concerts. The ensemble, comprising students and staff of Trinity Laban, varied in size and style in accordance with the needs of particular repertoire. Projects included Boyce's Lord Thou hast been our refuge as part of the Festival Matins service during the Greenwich International Early Music Festival in 2011, music by Monteverdi and Nico Muhly, Mass settings by Mozart, Haydn and Stravinsky, Bach's St John Passion, The Second Service by Gibbons accompanied by viols for a BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong broadcast and a concert of Christmas favourites by John Rutter
- The Chapel Choir made seventeen BBC broadcasts during the eighteen months that Richard worked with them, including their first BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong and special services for the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 (BBC Radio 4), The Queen's Jubilee (BBC1 Songs of Praise) and The Olympic Games (BBC Radio 4 and BBC1 Songs of Praise)
- Richard appointed a conservatoire student composer as Composer in Residence to the choir. As part of the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music 2012 Richard gave world premières of six compositions by student composers who had set texts to commemorate 350 years of the Book of Common Prayer.
